Why does the BoD need to hand out the regulations with an iron fist? If it is something to bring us in line with the law, do you think that wouldn't pass an Althing? Are we, as a group, so stubborn that we cannot see the legal ramifications and vote correctly? I understand the purpose behind it, I just don't see it as in any way necessary. If we have something that needs to change in order to be legal, the Monarch and PM can make it so and the populous can be brought on board for the next vote. It isn't exactly hard. When was the last time that something was proposed that didn't pass Althing?

I just realized that this was not clear unless someone read the original post again, but that item was removed from the Althing agenda as of July 17th. We realized that there were some valid concerns about the wording of the item and so we pulled it from the agenda. We are going to work on the wording to address the concerns that were brought up and submit it again once we have it corrected.
