Clarified that Tracking and similar abilities will work on this enchantment.
Added an effect to allow Banish and Dimensional Rift to kill an Insubstantial minion.
Added a combined limit of three active (G)UMs. Necromancer bounces to 5.
Clarify that dead players targeted by (G)UM immediately return to life and become Insubstantial.
Clarified that losing the Insubstantial state in any manner results in the enchantment being
removed.
Clarified wording and layout.

General
“How To Use This Rulebook” section added at the top.

Swift should be usable with spellballs by adding ‘ball’ to the allowed ranges

Change the incant on Grasping Tentacles to “Stop at my command” so it has the effect and the
school in the incant.

Clarify that the choice about weapons and where you can end Sanctuary applies at all points
during Sanctuary, not just the end. You can’t drop them before ending Sanctuary and then come
out where you are.

Remove the requirement for heavy gauge leather to only apply to starting with heavy leather.

Remove ‘command’ and ‘power’ from the spellball incant. Replaced with ‘summon’ and ‘evoke’.

Standardize offensive incants to 3 iterations

Fix the wording on magic balls on page 51 and 14 to indicate magic balls are not themselves
magical effects, but rather cause magical effects.

Change ‘Blessed Armor’ to ‘Ancestral Armor’ for Warriors. Gives Blessed Armor as a Trait forthe life it is used.

Added Evoker in place of Archmage for Wizard

Add to ‘Incantation’ number 8: Require that the target be at least partially visible at the end of the
incantation to be affected. If the target is not at least partially visible the ability or magic is still
used up.

Charge definition section cleaned up, clarified.

Charge incantation changed to:
“Out of battle I pause to rest,
I take some time to catch my breath.
Return to me my fleeting power
To aid me in my darkest hour.”
x 3.

Explicitly allow PD on shields

Specify that Heavy Padding on Great Weapons needs to be continuous, and must start within 3”
of the stabbing tip and continue towards the handle.

Make Extend Immunities start with 1/refresh.

Remove references to objects being wooden.

Clarify that magical items require strips if they imbue enchantments.

Clarify under combat notes that players taking a death may not return to play except via
respawning, may not activate any ‘on death’ abilities such as FAD, and does not benefit from any
magic or abilities that prevent death such as Undead Minion.

All magic and abilities are now of type verbal, enchantment, neutral, etc. Never ‘ability’ or ‘trait’.

Clarify that Innate, Steal Life Essence, etc only works on abilities which may naturally be
charged.

Clarified Ranger

Experienced makes per lifes charge x2, per refresh charge x4.

For Healers: Raise the purchase cap on Stun to four, remove the ability to charge it.Added ‘Sleight of Mind’ to Bards.

Fix the discrepancy on Lycanthropy on page 51

Clarify Resistant to read “Immune to the next spell or ability from a given school.”

Pyrotechnics should affect weapons and shields, not also armor. Clarified that dropping gear
does prevent it from being affected by Pyrotechnics.

Make Tracking Ambulant

Change ‘solid core’ to ‘rigid core’

Change all instances of ‘contigency’ to ‘contingency’

Poison Glands now indicates the resulting Poison is range self.

Add a line to Lost indicating that if the Insubstantial state is removed via other means then the
effect is immediately ended.

Greater Heal clarified to only ignore the Cursed State.

Terror moved into Death school.

Icy Blast moved into the Sorcery school

Fix Brig entry to only require one exterior layer of exterior heavy­duty material.

Indicate that sashes are not enough for Look The Part.

Cleaned up Hold Person incant.

Change incant wording on Insubstantial to "IS an incantation, but may move feet."

Reduced enchant incants to 3.

Priest makes Heal free

Fix Great Weapon to require at least half courtesy padding, max of 3ft of courtesy.

FAD now allows killing players even if the player is a game item.

Weapons, bows, and shields may be repaired at base after 100 seconds.
