If I missed a previous post about this, I apologize. Would someone please post the rules of this State Park? Are there quiet times after a certain time? What are the rules for Alcohol? Is gate fee going to be different? Are there cabins? Any other info about this event/site would be appreciated.

Thanks for the link. So its not a state park, it's also managed by the Chickasaw Nation. It's not clear if its on Sovereign land or not, so the laws governing such a place could be odd.

Oklahoma "closed" many of it's state parks in the Summer of 2012... The first time we went to Boggy Depot was in Nov of 2011. That is where some of the confusion is coming in. This park in particular was purchased from the state by the Chickasaw Indian Nation. The same Caretaker/Ranger still lives on the property and is responsible for it.

They really like us there.

They don't care about us drinking. We should be the only ones there so no quiet hours either. There are no cabins. In the past, he's always made sure that there is plenty of firewood for us to use (to the point of cutting up more Saturday while we were doing battlegames), we just need to keep the campfires to the fire rings (there are lots of those). There are bathrooms and showers. There is a covered area with tables and lights to have feast/court. Plenty of space for camping and several areas for holding a variety of battlegames.

I will leave the gate fee question to the Monarch and the Autocrats...

Kingdom MR will be held at Boggy Depot near Atoka, Oklahoma.

Gate fee is $15 and there are RV hookups available on site from the park manager (I think they are $20 per night)

We will have an ongoing quest to gather tokens that can be turned in for in-game help and for prizes.

There will be a Warlord battle Saturday morning.

There will be an assault by the Monster Horde (populace) on the King's Castle. The defenders (Knights and Squires) will protect the king.

There will be A&S activities hosted by Regent Dark Tigger, Wallflower, and Aijae.

Following Feast / Court, there will be a bardic.

Specifics coming soon!

Here is the site map: http://edgecast.data.travelok.com/okdat ... yDepot.pdf

Here is the map to get there: http://goo.gl/maps/sCGYa

You CANNOT Google Boggy Depot Park to get directions, That will take you to the wrong place. You HAVE to Google Boggy Depot Cemetery, Atoka OK.

More details:

There will be an ongoing quest to retrieve lost / stolen favors from the monsters of the Boggy Lake. These may be turned in for in game enchantments and some are worth prizes. :) (Monsters needed!)

Firday 8pm-Midnight: Alby's vigil. Stop by and give him a few words of wisdom.

Saturday: 10am-noon: Warlord battle (militia style - armor and any weapon, no class abilities) and (if time allows) multi-team battle (up to 5 people per team, last team standing wins)

Noon-2: Knights meeting

2-4: Main battle gane - The monsters of Boggy Lake (populace members) are attacking the King in his castle. The Knights and squires of the realm must defend him and hold the castle. (See Connor on site for monster approval)

6pm: Feast - Fajitas (steak and chicken) with grilled veggies, cheese, and sour cream. Beans on the side and dessert (TBD).

Feast will be a ROLE-PLAY event!! Those with a noble title of Baron or higher will have the option of being seated in the Nobles area. Nobles may bring 1 guest with them. All others will be seated in the "commoners" area. Those at the Noble's tables will be served first for feast.

7pm: Court - Ya know, that whole, giving out awards thang! Special prizes will also be given out during court for participation at the event, over all attitude, and best roleplay.

After Court: Bardic. Please come give it a shot. Never had the courage to sing in front of a crowd? We are not going to judge you. Have a great story to tell? Come entertain us!

A&S activity time still being determiined. Stay tuned.

Since we are charged per person to use the site, we are not changing the prices for those under 14.

Times TBD:

On Saturday there wil be 2 workshops / Q&A sessions.

One will be on entering and judging cultural events. What should people do when looking to enter an item, and improve their scores. Also, how to more effectively judge items.

The second will be on Knighthood. How does a player work towars Knighthood. What does Knighthood mean, and how can we make the system better.

Tigger will post a time for the first workshop, the 2nd will hopefully take place sometime between the end of the Knights' meeting and the start of feast as time permits.

Is the Kingdom charged per person camping, or per person walking on site? We had planned on day-tripping it, with the kids. At $15 a head, that would be cost-prohibitive to us. Getting a sitter would probably cost about the same, too.

We are charged for people at the site, so for this event the price is the same for all weekend or a day trip.
