A public service announcement from your friendly park officers:

We are excited about the new reign that is almost upon us! All three of us have been brainstorming to give you, the residents of Mourningwood Glen, an awesome 6 months. We will officially take office the weekend after Kingdom endreign, making that December 22. That day we have a Christmas-themed battlegame planned with a prize for the winner. There will also be a kids' battlegame, so bring the munchkins out with you!

The weekend of the 29th we will be running a quest. Yes, you heard correctly; a quest. Again, there will be a prize for the winner of the quest and several other incentives.

What can you expect from this coming reign? We have quite a bit planned. The first weekend of the month the people will get to choose what they want to do. We will have several battlegame ideas for the populace to vote on.

The second weekend will be devoted to V8 playtesting. 2014 isn't that far away and we need to find all of the flaws and highlights of this new rules version. This will be a weekend of simpler battlegames, such as ring the bell or capture the flag. We will also run more unusual games and possibly mini quests during V8 weekends so that the rules will be playtested under a variety of conditions. There will be more with this soon.

During the third weekend of the month we will be holding battlegames such as zombie invasions. No telling what may come up, but no matter what it is it will involve monsters. This will also be the weekend that we hold the various A&S workshops that we have planned for the reign.

Fourth weekends will be quest weekends. Yep, we're planning for more than one.

There will be prizes awarded to the winners of the quests. This may or may not extend to the monster battlegames as well; you'll just have to participate to see. We will stray from this schedule only a bit to accommodate other holiday-themed games. As a general rule this is what you can expect whenever you come out to the park.

March is an unusual month with 5 weekends. The 5th weekend we will be holding a white rabbit hunt since it is right before Easter, a kids' game, hatchling master A&S competition, dollar tourney and bake sale to raise money for the park. We will also be holding an Amtgard garage sale this weekend, but more details to come on that later.

Each week we will post general information about what to expect that coming weekend here and on the black and golds. We won't give everything away, but this way you know what to plan for.

All three of us are very excited about this reign and what is planned. We hope to see many of you out there, both old faces and new.

This sounds like a great plan. Please remember that we just gained a large crowd of newer players and factor that into your planning.

Thanks Kenta! I'm so happy that we have the newer players attending and we will definitely keep that in mind. We're also trying to run kids' games since MWG has a munchkin hoarde and we all know how kids get when they're bored lol.
