The Kingdom of the Emerald Hills

Our Barbarian, Feloden, brought 5 potential new members out this past weekend. All took waivers so once again our fingers are crossed:)
Everyone had a great time playing with us and they were a really fun group that asked a ton of questions. As a reward, Feloden recieved a package of 'Caribou' flavored Oatmeal cookies ... ok so the brand name was crossed out and caribou was written in in marker over the oatmeal part, but he was happy.
IF they come back and join ...well we smell a Rose award in his future.
Also 2 people that had come to play with us a while ago finally turned in their waivers! So we welcome Ninja Blade and Whiteshadow into our family.
Another visitor got another waiver cause his dog ate the first one ...IT DOES HAPPEN ...lol ...and man this 17 yr old is one that we were really hoping would return. His first day out he took all the young ones aside and began to teach them ... we were quite impressed.

hmm ...with it being the July 4th weekend and the fact that for the 1st time since we began we got rained out of our Sat regular day, we won't know for sure until this Sat. But if all goes perfectly our overall number should jump to 15. We'll have hit the lottery IF everyone comes back and turns in their waiver.

Best of luck. remember, word of mouth is one of the best recruitment tools. So keep telling friends...co-workers...the guy who sells you lunch...a stranger on the bus...aw just tell everyone.

Oh believe me I tell EVERYONE , I usually have a flier or more on hand ..and IF they are interested ..then I pull out a weapon so they can see what we use;) If ppl sit and watch us at our park, they get a flier or I'm ambushing the disc golfers.
My next plan is to rework our Amtgard sign so we can put it up at our park to invite passersby to stop and at least get some info. Nothing like direct advertising.
