If you want to put it here to get the ball rolling and enter another, that'd be okay, too. And, you can enter more than one, if you like.

LOL!! As good as that story is...

Thats not really a story as per the " no shit, there I was at Clan V..." type of story that she seems to be looking for. Besides, that particular story has already won a prize.

As well it should have. Zelodie, let me tell you that you should pester Nev to write stories for you. Much as I hate to be nice to him, he is the most talented writer in The Hills.

I'd love to see a ton of great stories and I don't even care if many of them come from the same people. Call me selfish, but I can't get enough of people's experiences here! And, I want to share them with everyone, if that's okay with the authors. So, please keep them coming! I'm stoked about this, to be honest with you!

So when could we see some of the stories that have been entered? Or is that under a different thread?

I was hoping people would post them here for everyone to see! I feel weird re-spoting them if they were sent to me in private, though. But, it'll be hard for people to vote on if they can't see the amazing stories!

You could start up a topic for the entries. I admit that while my particular addtion to your request is not widely known (I have a Rep to protect [smilie=icon_evil.gif] ). After all these years it would be interesting to see how the Amtgard populace reacts. More importantly it could be interesting to hear how those involved in my entry (if they are still around) add to the story.

But hey... your the Regent. So its going to be your call.

:) No, that's a great suggestion! My hopes had been that this topic would be where the posts ended up, but seemed better to explain the rules and guidelines of the contest. I'll start a new topic just for the entries soon!

Okay, here's the thread for the stories, themselves! I also updated the original post to include the link as well (so if anyone is just reading the post, now, they don't have to go all the way to the bottom for the link)

viewtopic.php?f=55&t=7471

Can't wait to see what everyone has to enter!

Will extra points be given for using proper spelling, grammar, and punctuation? Or is this a content-only contest?

I am giving a level of leniency towards spelling and grammar. This isn't going to be like high school, where pages are covered in red ink for small grammatical errors, like extra commas or what not. Simple, obvious, painful mistakes will count, as they make the read difficult and takes away from the feel of the story. Which, will be the main focus of this; the feel of the story. That, above all else is what will be judged. Everything else is secondary.

We really differ on what constitutes a "simple, obvious, painful mistake."

Should I wait until after Dragonmaster to post my next story since I'm entering it then as well? What do y'all think? Anonymity is not a concern for me.
