Just putting the word out there:

I'm looking for a leather stitcher/sewing machine
Not just a leather sewing machine, but one that can sew up to 3/4" of leather. HAS to do AT LEAST 1/2" of leather, but really need to do more for big projects. More like something you would use to sew bridles and horse tack with.

I do several leather projects that are anywhere from 1/4" to 3/4" in thickness. Some are for horse use, others for human use....And my hands just can't take it anymore.

It can be either machine driven or manual cranked, don't really care. The work I do is really slow and tedious, so manual cranking isn't a problem. Slow is usually better with these things.

Please let me know should you have any ideas, contacts, friends that have machines they just don't use or know of people who have machines they'd like to get rid of because they don't work.

I have a friend, a retired vet that works on sewing machines. If he can't fix it, it can't be fixed. He's awesome. (He fixed a 1889 Treadle Sewing Machine for me. Even went so far as to manufacture a part so that it could use modern sewing needles because those sewing needles are no longer available. Sewed like a charm.)

Rendezvous'rs are just kids with really BIG playgrounds....and black powder toys that go BOOM!
