It's going to be over 100 today, and the same next week. I probably won't be out with the kids. Most likely, we will resume regular meetings the week after.
Until further notice, official start time will be 3:00. That way at least some of the heat will have dissipated.

I hung out with Sutra at the park today, we had 3 teenagers come over to watch us fight. We let them try out a couple swords and I gave them a flyer. They said they come to the park often, so there is a chance we will see them again.

It would be better to move up the start time and end early than to push it back. 4-6pm is the hottest 2 hours of the day.

So. Hot.
It's hard to bump it up too early, or there may be issues with people eating lunch before they come (which can end up making people later anyway). If you try to aim right for noon or 1, there's issues with direct UV explosure. Trying to meet at 10:00 goes against the natural Amtgard tendency, and makes it hard for people to travel cross-town.
What does everyone think about aiming for 1:00 and keeping it brief? Forest, I see a visit on the calendar, does that work for you?

Well 3 is a good time for me personally because of children's nap schedules.
I will be at park tomorrow for the King's visit. Let me know if you plan to leave early.
