Anyone able to give a little clarification on this one?

Barbeque pits (the purchased kind, not the primitive, obviously) okay, or not?

Leaving tomorrow and need to know just how much to adjust the planned food list. (yes, I am going to try to look it up elsewhere, but figured others might like to know, too)

BBQ pits are usually not included in burn bans. The burn bans are more or less ment for bans against brush and trash burning as these types tend to get out of control and quick

That's what I was thinking, but I got a call from part of our camping party that there was a burn ban and to adjust the rest of the communal food to be brought accordingly. lol

I figured that a) it hadn't been dry enough long enough for one of the extreme bans and b) we would have heard something earlier if it was that much of one.

I got a call back from the person after they went on an answer seeking mission, bbq's and tiki/citronella torches are both fine as long as they are raised off the ground and not left unattended.

And I've got me a raging case of eventomnia - kinda like insomnia with a serious dosing of caffeine and adrenaline. [smilie=icon_lol.gif] [smilie=icon_mrgreen.gif]
