MayDay Event – April 29th – May 1st
Tanglewood Forest
The King's Gate Toll as Decreed by His Majesty King Alby Kazan:
$15 adult $5 kids 7-13 Kids 6 and under free
His Majesty has declared that one may save $5 off his gate toll through the donation of 2 canned goods towards the Amtgard Food Fight (maximum one discount per gate fee)
This is a tournament event weekend. Companies, Parks, and Households (mayhaps even a team of Serpent Knights?) all competing to out do each other in any of the cultural events, pursuits, and venues. Any competing team/group will consist of a minimum of five members/participants, teams do not have to consist of a company, park, or household, it can consist of an informal grouping of friends. Non-competing populace is, of course, welcome to attend, also to watch the fun and go to any workshops and demos thrown by teams.
In addition to the various judged events, teams/groups can also gain points towards their totals by bringing more to the event by way of providing meals/feasts, workshops, demos, performances, games, decorations/ambiance at feast or campsites, etc... Please contact the appropriate event Crat to arrange a when and where for your ideas so as to allow them to schedule things so that the most attendees may be able to participate in things that interest them or view things you present.
Garb, food, workshops, brewing, artwork, storytelling, music, dancing, service, game writing, vintners, anything and everything covered by the umbrella of the Colleges of the Arts and Sciences is up for consideration and possible points.
There will be a schedule of planned events given at gate as we get an idea of how many presentations will be brought to the competition.

Gladiatorial Games at the Saturday Court and Feast:
Coins will be provided for gambling and tipping. Amassing coins can add to a team's point totals, so even your team/group's fighters can add to the points. The coins will not be available for purchase, what is given is what there is and you are responsible for your coins.
Servers competition:
Can you serve that feast well enough to collect the most tips? Again, coins garnered here will affect the overall team score.
After Court and Feast there will be a Bardic competition:
Singing, Dancing, Instrumentalists, Storytelling, juggling, katas, all performed arts are welcome at this.
Friday evening Tavern Tourney:
Brewers, Vintners, and even those who feel themselves masters of mixing beverages... this one is for you. These will be three different categories of competition, as all three are different art-forms and not really comparable to each other in competition.
Other tentatively planned events:
*A garb fashion show style competition – get someone to model that garb or get up there yourself
*A&S tournament in the feast area – all the painting, drawing, etc.. not covered by other tourneys
*Sewing workshop – planned to happen in a location where machines can be used
*RP game/quest
*Battlegame at the battlefield
Teams must consist of a minimum of five members, workshops, demos, games, etc... need to be scheduled with the appropriate Crat. Participation in any given event does not have to include the five person minimum, but participants do have to be representing a team.
Due to the points being available until the grounds are clean and the judges have left the premises, the
awards for this event will be presented at EndReign/Coronation. This is an event to be seen doing at, as this will garner the points that decide the winners aside from the tournament winners.
