MayDay was indeed a good event. The cultural aspect was exciting. We had entries from 9 people ranging from garb to food...Congrats to Zelodie from KP for winning "Best in Show" for her amazing Chicken Lasagna. Midas' from Soul's Crossing, chain was some of the best butted link work I have ever seen. Dame Ominique's garb entry was amazing. So nice, in fact, that I ordered a pair of pants in big boy size for myself....hehe. Alby's battle games were great fun. We fought a Titan while trying to find an artifact and hold off the other team at the same time. We had 9 people come up from Texas, 2 from Soul's Crossing...very nice to meet you fellas... and the rest were made up of Dreadmoorians. We had one of the nicest feasts and the boys from Memphis decorated the high table for Alby in BarBar fashion with furs and axes. Everyone had a great time. It's a shame we had such small numbers. If you want to attend these events and cant drive yourself, ask around...others will have room and the events can be sooo much better with your presence.

The weather wasn't bad...a little warm for my taste but we had a nice breeze all weekend. The camp fire talk was great....lots of bottles passed around....good for any growing dwarf...lol

A HUGE thank you to Zelodie as feastocrat, Chops as Gateocrat, Sierra as security. Ya'll did a great job and it will not be forgotten. A HUGE thanks to everyone who brought food entries, Gryndll, Malran, Xenhei, ya'll helped make for a great feast. And even tho he won't see it....a HUGE thanks to Mr. McFeeters, the park caretaker. He loves it when we come out.

It was a small event, but it was a fun event. Ya'll who didn't make it missed out!

I very much enjoyed the chance to meet the wider community outside of Souls Crossing. It was a blast from several directions not the least of which was the A&S win and being able to bring back an A&S win to one of my amtgard mentors. I can't speak for the rest of my park but I will be back shortly for Kingdom End Reign.
