Ok folks, the May Day festival is coming up soon. It's the weekend of May 4-6 at Boggy Depot State Park in Atoka Oklahoma. This is primarily a cultural event and these are the plans for cultural competitions to held.

1. Feast- Will be a potluck main course competition. Sides and desserts will be provided and awards will be given for the best dish.
2. Garber's Contest- All you stitchers out there bring your one best single piece of garb for the competition.
3. Weapon Construction- Bring one weapon for competition, will be judged on appearance and safety.
4. Jewelry Contest- Bring your best single piece.
5. Bardic Competition- ya'll know what to do with this one.
6. Table Decoration- This is for feast. Decorate your table for feast with all your nice thingies.
7. Banner Competition- Park, Company, Household, build a banner and have it judged. (Banner Wars is coming up soon)
8. Finally, we will have an open competition...bring one piece...top three places awarded for this one.

Awards will be given to the winners...might be orders...might be prizes....just have to come and see.

Finally, we need volunteers to pull this off.
We need a feast-o-crat
gate-o-crat
War-o-crat...yes, there will be battle games and war stuff....AAAARRRRGGG!!

So, if you wanna help make this event a success, pm me or Tigerhawke.

If you have ideas on what else we can do to make a fun event, pm me or Tigerhawke.

Dwarven courtship consists mostly of finding out in a polite, discreet manner, just what equipment your drinking buddy came equipped with.

Depending on subspecies, of course.

If I can squeeze in a performance, I'll be the Gate-O-Crat and the Desert-O-Crat. Just not cupcakes, this time. Maybe cookies or something easier and less.... Cupcakey.... :)

Just like last year gate will be 15.00 but bringing 2 can goods or non perishable items you can get in for 10.00.

So, I'd like to have entertainment during feast. Is it okay for me to arrange that or is that someone else's job? I really don't want to step on toes, but I'd love to have a hand at setting up a performance. I am the GM of Thespians, after all. Bout time I did something with that. LOL
