Mourningwood Glen is having there first official park quals. It's my understanding it's been a few years. It'll be May 24th, Saturday after the allthing. It'll be both Arts and Sciences as well as a war events.
As far as I know I'm relaying information. In the Arts and Sciences area, it'll be the normal entries used. As of right now, I'm not sure of the war events.

Any special rules? Like how many pages for writing entries and when and to whom to turn them in? Also, as the city park does not allow alcohol, how will you be handling the vitning portion? Can one use chafing dishes (with chafing fuel) to keep food warm as there probably won't be electricity available. What time is the sign-up? What time do the judges have to be there? What time does sign-up close?

I would suggest no vinters catagory as alcohol is not allowed at a public park.
as for the rest, i see no problems going with the guidelines the kingdom has set forth.
as far as fuel sources....again, i dont see any problems.
Mind you all, i'm not in charge and merely stating my opinions.

Better late than never. For those wishing to run for the offices of Duke, Regent, And Champion of the park; I will be runnig our park qualls, this way there will be a fair and unbiased overview. I am not runnig for an office, nor am I entering anything. I ask that anyone who judges do the same.
Anyone may enter their items, ect , for judging. Please keep written entries to less than 3 pages. Because of Arlington Laws, vinters entries are not encouraged, if there are any of these entries, the judges will take them home and email me thier results. The scoring system will be a base average. Points are valued on a 1 to 5 scale (5 being the absolute best, 1 being a "what in God's name were you thinking!!!!) It is well known that qualling at Kingdom Qualls will also qualify a person for park office. I am holding park qualls before kingdom qualls in order to give individuals more than just 1 oppurtunity to quall. I will also be asking for volunteers to help judge entries. I would like to have a minimum of 4 judges. Anyone wishing to judge please email me at kentaredhawk@yahoo.com or pm me here on these forums.

forgot to add...I will take entries till 1230pm. I realize this is early for some of our park goers...but time crunch and all that for my judges. (ie we'd like to have some fun too)
I still need someone to run the war events.

And y'all only need three entries, since you're a Shire. Hopefully
people will feel encouraged to participate.

I want to express my appreciation to all of the judges, reeves, and planners for making this a thoroughly pleasant Park Qualification. I was excited to see new talent trying themselves out in competition in both the war and A&S categories.
Thank you so very much

How did you determine the averages? When I calculated, my average score was 3.632 or 3.674 (if you only take the top 2 scores in a category). What am I doing wrong in my calculations?
