So much for the curse...LOL. Today at the glenn we had a bunch show up. Myself, Sir Ice, Ogar, Aidan, Sir Galen, Sir Sean Carlton, Kayla, Seal, Panthra, Grizz, Cyn, Demos, a ton of kids, and a family of newbies and kenta's new lady

Games:

Pop Goblins, kids all played goblins with Ice as the "Goblin King" who captured Aidan.....fun was had by all smacking the kids around and the kids gave as good as they got....good times
At that point a family showed up (they had passed by last weekend; and came back to fight this weekend) so the veterans disdained a second battlegame to teach the new people and try to sell their fav class.

All in all a good start for a new begining

Thanks to Sir Brennon, Kerb, Tugen and our regulars...not many people there but mundane Xmas parties win the day...

EH CORONATION

Lots of fun had by all.....quest was kewl....got to be a goblin (didnt realize that being that annoying was that much work LOL)

Points of interest: Sutra is the new king. He plans a gothic Alice in Wonderland theme....ie everything about the Queen of Hearts are lies...this is a happy shiny kingdom till Alice came

Battlegames and roleplay to come.....

Great day at the park. Thanks to Sir Nevron for showing up and having patience with our newbies. We broke thier baby teeth on a full class battle game today...even though it was a cluster fuk, still lots of fun. Actually it was not as bad as expected....newbies will surprise you if you let them....

Kingdom visit at the park. First of the Alice in Wonderland battles....majority of MWG declared for our very own Alice (Adian) and fought the king. A few misguided souls and mercs were able to help the kings army win the battlegame.

Lots of returning faces today. Thanks to Sir Nevron, Sir Trinity, Sir Gavin, and Dame Tangeena for comming out.

Ring the bell style battlegame was fun....only damper on the day was Sir Ice getting overzealous for ringing the bell and breaking a thumb on the tree, and Seigfried scraping a knee trying to dodge a shot and ring the bell on the opposite side...all this at the same time....

Props to Shamus the green for the idea for todays battle game, a maze crawl with a death knight (played by Sir Trinity) guarding the treasure. First team to get 3 treasures back to their base wins....

Lots of fun to be had by all

As Kenta and crew had to leave early, I'd figured that I would post this. We had a sign-in that took up then entire front and part of the back of the page. Woo Hoo! Barony status here we come!

His Majesty, Sutra Bahas, graced us with a surprise visit (incognito) and participated in battlegame and trench.

We warmed up with a trench then a newbie treasure hunt battlegame was run with the winner being able to keep the booty (a bastard sword) . Congratulations Neromer Qat.

Sir Gavvin Quinn ran a second battlegame of capture the flag with the team captains of Sir Fytakin and Asmodious. The "bad guys" won.

More trenching and answering newbie questions about Amtgard in general and specifics. All and all a very good day at the glen.

In humble service to the Dream,
Stormdancer, Bt.

It is a group of newbies who have been playing at that park for 4 weeks. Their first weekend out was Midreign and no one was at the park. The second weekend was snow(same result). 3 came out last weekend and they brought the rest this weekend. 1/2 come from Ft. Worth and the other 1/2 come from Midlothian and chose Veteran's Park as a middle ground. They have formed their own fighting company and will be playing with Mourningwood Glen more.

Admittedly, they were told that we played down the hill behind the amphitheater, where Mouriningwood Glen was until over a year ago. On their third weekend out, that is where Sir Gavvin discovered them.
