Post subject:  Gypsy Carnival at MWG!!! This Saturday!!!

The gypsies have taken over the Glen! In their evil schemes to take over the world (well....maybe not....) they have decided to hold a carnival at MWG this Saturday, just in time to greet the Monarchy. That's right; not only is it going to be an awesome day at the park, you will get to rub elbows with our kingdom officers.

Along with the jugging planned by our Champion, we have a full schedule of events for the carnival. There will be carnival games in the forms of archery, throwing dagger and tomato (spell ball) target courses. Prizes can be won by those with skill (or the right bribes) in all of these games. A person can only win once, but can play for skill as many times as they want.

There will be a grab bag A&S competition. What is grab bag A&S, you ask? Participants are each presented with a paper bag filled with craft supplies. They may use these supplies and those in general stores (such as glue, scissors, etc.) and craft an item with a gypsy theme. Participants may NOT trade items between each other. A prize will be awarded for the best finished item.

Our very own Aylin will be presenting a belly dance basics workshop. This is for those interested in learning how to perform some of the beginning belly dance movements and posturing. Along with teaching these movements, she will demonstrate how they look when done the right way and with the skill and talent of years of practice behind it.

We will also have not one, but two battle games. The main game is a caravan battle. Two rival gypsy caravans battle each other to be the first in the city gates. But watch out. The city guard isn't too keen on having gypsies around.... The second battle game is a treasure hunt. Help the gypsies locate a very dear lost item, and you may be rewarded.

We look forward to seeing everyone at Mourningwood Glen this Saturday! Festivities start around 1:00 pm.
