We will be having an old fashioned dollar tourney day on
November 7th, 2010. All eligible to play Amtgardians are welcome to compete/participate in the day regardless of home park or home kingdom.
The Culturals/Arts & Sciences side of the day will be judged blind* with “top three**” scoring/eliminations method, entry forms will be available on site. Judges will include (barring the impediment of mundania) Five of Emerald Hills' resident Knights. One dollar will allow one person up to three entries. Entries will be taken from Noon to 2pm . Please bring something to display your entries upon, else they will be displayed upon the bare ground. And yes, bardic type entries are just as welcome as cooking, painting, sewing, photography, jewelry, sculpture, and everything else.
The combat tourney will be arranged by King's Point's Champion. I'm sure they will be along with more details as the date gets closer. The combat portion of the tourney is one dollar per entrant.
There will be prizes
on hand for the first place and second place winners, with actual engraved, not small at all, metal medals on neck ribbons. (see below for teaser pics)
Winners will also be announced here on the forums, as well as on the
Kingdom's and the
Shire's Facebook group pages.
Photos will be taken and posted of the day.
News, reviews, etc... of the tourney to be included in the shire's newsletter "To The Point."
Residents are also welcome to bring “Bake Sale” items, as some have asked and volunteered to do so. Bring money for bake sale type goodies if you'd like to indulge.
And never fear, there will still be a battlegame & ditch, and it will be free, so one does not have to have spare change to play on this day.
Also, this is a
park level fundraiser tourney for bragging rights and a prize,
it does not disqualify intended quals entries.
*Judges do not accept the entries as they come in, and the entries are numbered instead of including names to aid in impartiality
** The top three of each sub-category go on to compete for category, category top 3's then compete against the other categories to arrive at a final top three winners of the tourney.
