MC foam, camp foam, etc. There are multiple foams you can use to build a weapon. Funnoodle is just the current cheap alternative method.

It is a thin white foam that is very lightweight, but you have to use multiple layers to get the correct thickness.

you can get 50sq ft of it at U-Haul for 4.99. I will probably be going back to a black pipe insulation and white MC wrap since my fun noodle weapons blow out way to fast for me to be comfortable hitting someone with them.

Weapons made from blue camp foam while not as durable as mc tend to be more durable than noodle. Camp foam tends to be cheaper and easier to find than mc. If you're just learning how to make weapons with that kind of foam it may be better to make your first few out of camp foam instead of mc to minimize loss if something goes wrong.

I am really glad I was able to start a thread that was as productive and got so many replys. But back to the topic, I made a weapon with the packing foam that is really durable but really misshaped any ideas on how to fix that.

What was your process for making it and how is it misshaped, post pictures of the weapon if possible to help diagnose what went wrong.

It is easier to make weapons of this type with a second person to help hold thing steady, or a flat table top to roll the weapon on.

Personally, i like flat-blades more than round blades. The experience of making them and fighting with them is more rewarding than fighting with an omni-blade. I've now made flat-blades for half of the eh saracens, going from a simple straight blade to a baskethilt rapier to a curved scimitar.
